U.S. Senate agrees to extend & expand homebuyer credits

Reported by the Associated Press at 8 p.m. tonight, the U.S. Senate agreed to extend the 1st time homebuyer tax credit and offer a reduced credit to some other buyers. Originally to expire at the end of next month, the program has been extended through April 2010 (settlements must occur before June).
